Leasehold PropertiesHomeZone Living has around 280 leaseholders, mostly living in leasehold flats in blocks owned by HomeZone Living.
Leaseholders have bought the right to live in the property for the period of the lease. HomeZone Living as the landlord retains the freehold of the property. At the end of the lease the property will revert to the landlord.
As the Landlord, HomeZone Living is responsible for maintaining the structure of the building and any communal facilities. Leaseholders are responsible for all repairs inside their home. They also have to pay a proportion of the cost of any works that HomeZone Living completes to the structure of the building or communal areas. An annual service charge is also payable to cover administration costs associated with the lease.
Leaseholders are involved in helping HomeZone Living to shape and improve the leasehold service. This includes regular consultation meetings and customer satisfaction surveys.
